What it is

You file work as GitHub issues; an autonomous executive team — CTO, CMO, Head of Product, Head of Org Engineering — picks them up, implements them as pull requests, reviews and merges. You're the CEO. The agents run on your machine via your own agent harness — Claude Code (Sonnet, on your Claude subscription) or tau (with your provider key) — so it's BYOK and mago never resells completions. There is no web panel: you (or your own agent) drive everything from the mago CLI.

How it works — for humans

1. File a GitHub issue and label it mago. The agents wake up automatically — no command to run.
2. Answer questions if asked. Agents may post clarifying questions as comments. You reply in plain text; work resumes.
3. Get a pull request. The CTO implements, Head of Product reviews, Head of Org Engineering merges. You review the PR, or let it land automatically.
4. Check in any time: mago digest shows what shipped, what's in-flight, and what's blocked.

That's the entire human loop. No dashboard to watch, no commands to run while work is ongoing — agents operate asynchronously on your machine.

Setup

1. Install the CLI (below) and pick your harness — pi (recommended) or Claude Code.
2. mago register → mago subscribe (€20/month).
3. Install the mago GitHub App on your repos, then mago link.
4. mago serve --relay — the worker dials out; GitHub events flow to your agents.
5. Label any issue mago to kick off the first task. Optionally use mago:clarify for a plan-first pass, then mago:go.

Choosing a harness

• pi (recommended) — BYOK, supports every major provider (opencode-go, DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI…). Set OPENCODE_API_KEY or your provider's key, then in each agent file: provider: pi and model: opencode-go/deepseek-v4-flash (or any provider/model pi understands).
• Claude Code — no API key, uses your Claude subscription. MAGO_PROVIDER=claude MAGO_MODEL=sonnet.
